Datel’s Research and Development team is responsible for coming up with the concepts for the most innovative gaming products on the market.

Highly skilled programmers, designers, reverse engineers and semiconductor analysts get to the heart of every new console within weeks of its release.

Programmers and hardware designers work together on product designs that will eventually be distributed around the globe, across all the major formats including Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and DS/DS Lite. We haven’t forgotten the older consoles either. As long as there are consumers interested in their PS2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance/SP, Datel will bring them cutting-edge products to get the most from their gaming.

We pride ourselves in always being first to market with our game enhancers, and our renowned Action Replay brand always sets the benchmark against which other products are measured.

Datel's products aren't licensed by console manufacturers, making the task of developing them that much harder. By using our own in-house software and hardware tools, Datel can overcome this and quickly bring innovative products to market.

Today's consoles require complex CD, DVD and USB-based solutions, and Datel's R&D team has risen to the challenge by developing our market-leading products to utilise these cutting-edge technologies.

When Sony's PlayStation became the first mass market games console to use CD media, Datel was the first company in the world to produce its own hybrid disc for use with the platform. Likewise, when the PlayStation 2 and GameCube arrived, Datel rose to the challenge. Indeed, Datel is the only independent software publisher that’s capable of creating discs that run on an unmodified Cube, and our impressive GameCube range also work on the Nintendo Wii in GameCube mode! Never a company to rest on its laurels, Datel is hard at work reverse-engineering disc solutions for the latest generation of Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft machines.

Datel pioneereded online connectivity in the video game enhancer market and make extensive use of this technologies in the current generation of products. No longer must gamers type out codes by hand; Action Replay products on every current platform connect to the Codejunkies server giving gamers instant access to gigabytes of codes and saves instantly.

Datel's R&D team will develop upwards of 20 exciting new products in a single year. In addition, the company produces many ‘lite’ versions of its flagship Action Replay range which act as effective product samplers, often tailor-made for specific major multiple retailers and videogame magazine promotions.

In a fast-moving business like the interactive entertainment industry, adaptability is the key. Datel's R&D team continues to rise to new challenges by producing innovative and constantly evolving products that have now been the number one choice of gamers everywhere for over 20 years
